Flash #6 cover process. I started off doing the layouts digitally. I actually like the simplicity of A but I knew it wasn’t as exciting as B and that’s what we all agreed to run with. From there I drew it in traditional ink, and water colors, followed by a few tweaks in photoshop. I then colored it in PS, and added a backdrop of a map of Keystone, and Central City I had made up and used in issue 3 the Flash. Always happy when stuff like that becomes handy for mulitple use. After I finished the colors I dropped in the logo, and voila. Flash #6 is out Feb 22, 2012

Edit: you’ll also notice that in the final image Barry has more of his mask coming off him. Editorial wanted more mask to further emphasize his super hero identity, that he is trying to shed on the cover.

Again. Damn.
